Huntington Woods, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak Township
I am proud to announce my candidacy for District Court Judge, serving Huntington Woods, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, and Royal Oak Township. I have spent my entire career in public service. I'd like to do more as your next judge.
Please take a look at my biography, included in this website. With over 15 year's experience in the law, I've served the people throughout my career.
As an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Wayne County in the Elder Abuse Unit I handled cases involving vulnerable adult abuse and financial exploitation. In the Homicide Unit, I prosecuted the toughest cases and the most dangerous criminals.
In 2016, I joined Fair Michigan, an organization that promotes fairness and equality for all people by providing dedicated resources for crime victims in marginalized communities, as well as training for law enforcement. I was appointed by Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy to prosecute hate crimes in Wayne County, and headed the Fair Michigan Justice Project. In partnership with the Detroit Crime Commission we provided emergency shelter for victims and witnesses displaced by violence. In partnership with Corktown Health we provided mental health services to persons charged with a crime.
Public service is a privilege. I will remember that every day I take the bench, and remember that I serve my neighbors and the cause of justice as well, as every judge should.
